2008 Feature Tour- Central Wisconsin AgVenture: Spud, Berry and Dairy Tour
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, September 29-October 1, 2008
You will travel through Central Wisconsin at the peak of fall foliage for two and a half fun filled days. You will visit environmentally friendly farms, picturesque cranberry marshes and state of the art food-processing plants. As more and more people are involved with the food we eat our knowledge and appreciation for where our food comes from diminishes. Garden Tour -
From a rose garden to nurseries, you’ll find beauty all around. Have a religious experience at the Rudolph Grotto Garden, or get back to nature at the Schmeeckle Reserve.

Industry Tour -
Tour the famous Marshfield Medical Center and Laird and Lawton Center, or so some taste testing at a brewery. Adding one or more of our industrial tours to your plans will make for a memorable trip.

Farm Tour -
Whether you want to pick your own strawberries, or visit the world’s largest round barn, you get a sample of rural life in Wisconsin. You can also see state of the art ideas at cheese factories or a research farm. Don’t forget to pick up some fresh squeaky cheese curds.

Cranberry Tour -
Wisconsin is not only number one in cranberry production, but Central Wisconsin is the largest inland cranberry producing region in the world. Visit a marsh (the same a bog in New England) and see all types of products that use cranberries!

Cultural/Historical Tour -
Central Wisconsin is rich in history and culture. Visit a historic home, check our the art exhibits, or catch a play. How about a planetarium or living history site? We have many choices and know that we can help you put together an itinerary that will exceed your group’s expectations.
